Our writers will create an original "Gun Violence Sets A Blood-Soaked Benchmark Each Time" essay for you Create order Schools are places where a person learns to comport, couth, and grow emotionally and intellectually. When a person walks into the school in the morning, one should be able to reassure their family that they will be back home later in the day without having to face any danger. School- safety is supposed to be a top priority to make school a positive, healthy, safe and comfortable environment which plays a colossal role in a students life. This, unfortunately, is much more difficult to do so in our current society. Places around the country have had to face menacing situations that involve violence that causes harm and chaos in a so called safe school environment. Schools need to reassure people that their safety is paramount. A positive and safe school environment can be provided by giving mental and emotional support to students, improving the safety procedures during emergency situations, and adding precautionary equipment to the school. The mental or emotional state of a person can influence their actions a lot more than we notice. Students and teachers constantly have a lot of things to face throughout the school year and having to keep to themselves might as well cause them to do things they do not intend to do. People need to be able to share their thoughts and emotions with someone they trust, and they need to feel free to talk to them and take advice from them. Schools need to make it a habit that everyone is required to talk to the guidance counselors at least once in a month, so they would not have to deal with high-stress levels on their own. Schools should talk to the students about the importance of not hurting others as well as not getting hurt. Bullying and peer pressure are common issues t hat are faced by teenagers and this might influence them to be apoplectic. The schools need to provide support and help to people dealing with mental illnesses or emotional disturbances. The incident at Marjory Douglas High School, Parkland Florida happened because a 19-year-old named Nikolas Cruz needed mental support. If they could have provided him with that, those innocent civilians may not have had to end up in a situation like that. The disturbed human mind is sensitive and can make you do a lot of things, some of them you will highly regret. Safety procedures during emergency situations such as attacks can be modified to provide the student and faculty a better chance at survival. Classrooms can be set in a certain way to enable better safety and cause less harm. Students and teachers can work as a team to ensure everyones safety. Help from the police department is very important as well. The local police should have access to the schools layout. There should be a prior rescue plan in place in the eventuality of an attack. Classrooms have mere seconds to react before the crisis has started causing harm, and seconds are not enough for them to lock doors, shut the screens, get everyone together in a certain spot and take attendance. The schools should run through these modified procedures frequ ently to ensure that the students and the faculty are comfortable with them. Precautionary equipment can be added around the school to avoid emergency situations. Metal detectors at every entrance to the school can help keep guns, knives and other harmful things out of the school. Along with having metal detectors, having full body scans is another resort to identifying harmful equipment. Having these kind of equipment can help the school get a little more time to start the safety procedures. Having this kind of detectors can also help the school get help a lot faster than having to call for help after the attack has started causing harm. Precautionary equipment can help the school keep things under control in emergency situations along with providing a better chance of survival in unexpected events, or preventing them altogether.Schools are said to be vulnerable and yet it ought not to mean a disaster on such high scales can occur so easily. Schools should be able to protect the people under unfavorable circumstances. Vowing to arm teachers in the aftermath of a massive attack is quite a malarkey and its another rambling piece of twaddle exposing a meaningless political view. It will also not take much time for the obtuse NRA to resurface with their twisted n arrative of spreading the usage of guns. Schools can, however, provide a positive and healthy school environment by ensuring the safety of the students and the faculty and this can be done by providing mental and emotional support to those who need it, by improving the safety procedures taken during emergency situations and also by adding precautionary equipment to the school. These improvements and modifications will make a school a home again in the future just like it has in the past.

It has taught me a lot about team work, perseverance, and confidence. My experience with being an audience member for visual arts expands as each year comes. Lots of my experiences come from back in high school, only four years ago. With the help of my performing art teachers I was about to see many varieties of performances. The value of finding comfort in what you taught is being translated in a positive energy. Art takes over our visual, audio senses as well as sensation of touch at times. Not only does art take over our senses but it does something very wonderful to our mental status. We will write a custom essay sample on Performing and Visual Arts or any similar topic only for you Order Now It raises awareness and stimulates our brains. Some art can touch us on a very deep emotional level. The very definition of art may vary from one person’s opinion to another. It has been said that for centuries the many have debated without resolution of defining the word â€Å"art† (Sporre, 2011). The definition of performing and visual art can be described as a creative form of communication through several different outlets. These may include plays, music, paintings, sculptures, dance and so much more. My personal experience with art has been such a positive influence in my life. Art has always been my escape. When I was a teenager I was going through some hard family times. On my lunch break at school Iwould go into the music room and teach myself how to play the piano. Typically I get frustrated very easily when I do not know how to do something and I do not pick up on it right away. My fingers were not limber enough for piano, I knew how to read music but had no idea where these notes were located on the piano, I was clueless. For some reason sitting at that piano calmed me, I never once got frustrated. To this day music is still an outlet for me. More often then that it includes dancing to go with it. I love to dance for fun, dance away my stress. I adore watching true dancers perform more than anything. I often watch the Television show So You Think You Can Dance on Fox. There has been so many times that the performance has made me cry. There are several things that go into this amazing performance making me cry. The choreographer turn their story into a vision of dance in their head and pair it with the perfect song. A choreographer can have a great dance but without the perfect dancers then it will never come across right. The dancer has to have the raw emotion come through their performance as well. The wardrobe also helps create this character the dancer is trying to portrait. When all of these elements are paired together just right it creates a truly magical experience for me. I think humans cannot help ourselves in creating art. We are a very creative, intelligent and emotional species. I think that art is our way of expressing ourselves, telling our stories and reaching out to others. Art creates a common ground for people that they may not otherwise have. One of the first things infants do is coo at themselves almost in song. When an infant gets to a point where they can stand or walk first instinct is to bounce when they hear music. To be without art would to be without emotion and passion. It seems that it is almost encoded into our DNA to have creativity and artistic abilities, even if it is in just the mildest form. Insomnia Inspiring free essay sample

Will I miss them, the sleepless nights, whispering secrets to the darkness? Maybe, or maybe not, but I will remember them. I’ll remember the intricately woven silence as I traced the shadows on my walls. I will remember the warmth of my haven, and the lack of a symbolically driven force playing at my mind. I’ll remember the images dancing across my imagination in exquisite form, as an unending song repeated in my head. I’ll remember dreams and plans, exaggerated and bemused, filling paper and memories with asphyxiating phrases, as the shimmering of the fading day left me desolate. I’ll remember the cruelty of the night, stretching out to cover an eternity; the insomnia and the words, etching them deep inside my conscious mind. I’ll remember the pain of the passing days, the longing for a cure, and the majestic beauty that held my shattered spirit. The hours of sacrifice and joy, matched by the rage and bewilderment driven solely by passion, lacking any sign of hope. The discoveries found on dead trees, breathing life into the ink flowing over them. The limitless walls of a shadowed room providing me with the only sense of home I have ever known. I might miss the comfort of the one piece of stability and familiarity, sparkling in my memory like the star-strewn sky. Holding tight to the medications and diagnoses, irrelevant and unused, describing an adventure words could never have justice for; the delicately sketched photographs and the dead and withered roses, reminders of a past once lost and nearly forgotten. Will I miss those nights? Yes, for they brought the transitions of my being, delving into emotions deep and impenetrable. The fear as I watched things fall apart, replicated in the terror of the spaces between the stars. The numbness I felt in protection of all I could save of my identity ever lost and regained. The anger and betrayal as life plummeted, and I was held hostage by unseen chains I didn’t have the strength to break. The anxiety that stole pieces of my sanity, leaving a veiled existence covering a broken and shivering body, the panic attacks that visited me in my sleep, not allowing a moments rest. I will miss those nights greatly; they shaped my future by piecing together my past. Those nights found what the daylight could never resurrect, a knowledge and truth once lost in obscurity, giving my soul more than hope could ever offer. In those nights, I found the beauty of the darkness, and the beauty of all in the world surrounding me. I found the glamor of life, death, and all other opposing forces. Those nights created me. They gave me a basis of survival for many long nights to come, with both the darkness and the light as my friend. Everything I’ve gained in life relates back to those hours of solitude, those hours of analyzing life and everything that had happened. The darkness gave me one of the most valuable gifts I have ever received: understanding. Understanding of the insanity of the world around me, understanding of events both fated and willed, and, most importantly, understanding of myself, and everything I am. Self-discovery had been the longest journey of my life, ending with the realization that every definite identity is merely another mask. My true identity lies in each experience I’ve survived, and my drained masks lie in the dead silence of those nights.
